J. H. Menge: Bringing The Best Since 1878

Founded by Captain John Henry Menge in 1878, J.H. Menge & Company Inc. is a Manufacturer’s Representative firm that specializes in custom marine equipment. Throughout our history, our customers have been tugboats, work boats, barge operators, shipyards, petrochemical refineries, tank terminal operators, chemical manufacturers, offshore drilling companies and oil and gas offshore production installations. We assist engineering firms and naval architects in every phase of the design and budgeting of the industrial docks, work boats and platforms.

The mission is to offer the highest quality equipment at a fair price. Our company dedicates its efforts to fostering and maintaining relationships with our customers by representing, designing, selling and servicing the best engineered marine equipment from the highest quality marine manufacturers.

Each of our manufacturers are widely acknowledged for providing the best quality products in their particular specialty. The manufacturers that we represent include: Markey Machinery Co Inc., EMCO Wheaton USA, Smith Berger Marine Inc.,  Washington Chain & Supply Inc., Morse Rubber LLC, Marine Structures, Straatman Mooring Systems, and Polymer Industries.

From the tip of Florida to the southern border of Texas, we exclusively represent our principals in the Gulf Coast region. If your project or operation falls outside of the Gulf Coast region, we are happy to help! Often we will assist loyal customers wherever their work takes them. We maintain offices in New Orleans and Houston.
